How to Write A WordPress Post
Now that you’ve got your site up and running and set up with all the custom options you want, you’re ready to write your first post. You can start posting to your WordPress site right from the home page. Just log in to WordPress and click the white Write button at the top of the page to start composing your post https://pharmaciemg.fr/. The Write button is accessible from any page once you’ve logged in, so you can also visit your Dashboard if you like and compose a post from there.
The first thing you’ll want to do when you compose a WordPress post is add a title. You’ll want your title to be engaging and tell the reader a little bit about what the post will be about. Once you have a title, you can compose the body of your post by typing it into the field underneath the title field. There’s no limit on WordPress; your posts can be as short or as long as you’d like them to be. You can customize the look of your posts or add images or other media as well. As you’re writing your post, you can click the Preview button at the top of the page to see what your post will look like once it’s published to your blog. You might want to use this feature to see how your post and any media will look against your site’s theme.
You should utilize the Categories and Tags feature to make your blog posts easy to navigate and find. Blog posts are sorted into the categories that you set up. You can pre-define as many different categories as you like, and each post can be placed into multiple categories. If you have many posts about baseball, for example, your site visitors can click on the baseball category on your sidebar to see a stream of all blog posts about baseball. Similarly, tags are short descriptions that tell visitors what the post is about. They are usually one to three words long and can be as broad or specific as you like. Enter a few tags for each post you write so that when visitors search for that specific tag, they will see the post. Users can also click on a tag in each post and see a stream of other posts that also have that tag.
One other useful way to make your blog posts easy to navigate is to use the excerpts feature. On the right side of the screen for each WordPress post you write, you can include a brief excerpt of the post that will be displayed on your sidebar or in search results. This will make your posts easier to navigate because your visitors can see a brief excerpt before they click on the entire post, which will save them time if they are looking for a specific post or specific information.
Once you’ve finished writing your post and are ready for it to go live on your site, just click the Publish button at the top of the page. You can choose to publish your post immediately, or schedule it to automatically publish at a future date and time.
