Chicken Tinola

Chicken tinola is one of the most delicious chicken ginger soup in the Philippines.  It has very few ingredients but yet, the taste is so unique and amazing. It seems so magical how the taste explode in to your mouth in a good way, with the mixture of flavors. You can taste the aromatic flavor of the ginger, a very yummy garlicky flavora slight sweetness from the sauteed onions  and a very savory taste from green papaya or chayote squash.

I remember growing up, this is one of my favorite thing to eat on a rainy season, because of the unique and savory effects of the soup.  The key components to make a delicious soup itself is the hot broth and also the seasoning added to it.

Now that I’m living here In the US, a miles and miles away from home, makes me feel so sad sometimes. But, every time I make Filipino food like Tinola for my Husband, make me realized that life is so wonderful that somehow, food can make us happy and can make us feel like home away from home.
